One month into the Ghostart beta ahead of launch next month and our beta users have collectively created 1469 Linkedin posts in the first 30 days - which has blown us away!
It's impressive, but that's not to say we haven't made mistakes with this Beta launch, we have. So I thought I'd share one with you, in case you ever beta launch yourself!
Apparently, this mistake is quite common: inviting supportive friends and colleagues.
There's a name for it: 'polite signups'.
I.e. you invite them, they feel they have to say yes, are too polite to say no, but aren't actually at all interested.
They feel awkward, you don't get an engaged beta user, everyone's a loser. So if you were one of my polite signups, apologies!
Anyway, after realising this, we opened the Beta out to new users on Betalist and got a great response and it's also up on Pitchwall this week.
Feedback and usage so far have been great, we've made a lot of fixes, added a lot of new functionality based on beta feedback and it's pretty exciting.
Am sure we'll make more mistakes along the way, but that's all part of it.
