Linkedin ProfileI didn't think I'd be the dad doing a 3-hour round trip to Annecy to watch a football match. I don't play football. I don't watch football. I don't know anything about football.
But my 15-year-old daughter does.
So here I am, standing on the sidelines in a world that's completely foreign to me, but she's in her element.
Our kids expand us beyond our own comfort zones, reshape our identities in ways we never planned for and show us parts of life we'd have missed entirely.
Ghostart beta testing has been a bit like this too. Some of the best features we've built into the platform came from letting users show me what they wanted, their needs, their world... instead of me imposing mine on them.
Okay, that's enough shoe-horning a business lesson into an everyday story for one day.
Also, it's the last Friday before Christmas, what are you still doing reading this? Get off of here and go and do something splendid in real life with your loved ones instead.
