
Why AI Makes LinkedIn Posts Sound Smart But Say Nothing
Senior professionals are using AI to hide uncertainty with authoritative tone but no substance. Learn how to create meaningful LinkedIn content instead.

Okay, you can wake up now, I'm not actually posting that.
But we all see posts like this more and more often. Quite senior voices using all the 'right' words in a row, but in reality, the post is very thin on substance.
The language they use signals authority but doesn't carry any actual intent.
Sarah Bone and Dave Stubberfield both picked up on this at our Beyond the Beige summit recently, pointing out that when you're uncertain what to say, using AI is a great way to hide that.
You end up sounding like you're saying something important because your tone is right, but there's nothing behind it.
Clever AI use can actively *replace* meaning. Tone becomes a shield to hide behind.
The question you should ask when creating posts on here isn't 'does this sound senior enough/ professional enough?' it's 'if someone asked me what I'm actually saying here, could I answer without using the same words again?'
